Menchu Uroz
Lérida
Her work develops from a poetic and dreamlike figuration, where the female figure, nature, and architecture intertwine to construct scenes that transition between the real and the imagined. Starting from observation and her sketchbooks, she transforms everyday elements into evocative compositions, filled with silence and sensitivity. Her practice combines oil, acrylic, collage, wax, and charcoal, paying special attention to the materiality of the support. In her most recent works, natural linen ceases to function as a simple background to integrate into the image itself: the tone of the fabric builds shadows and voids, while light emerges through brushstrokes that model the figures.
