About the artist

Candela Picado

Candela Picado

Candela Picado de Blas is an artist trained in architecture whose work reflects a fusion of her family background and academic education. In her works, she integrates an analytical approach to architecture with an artistic vision that enriches her creativity. She explores itineraries and sensory mappings in her paintings, inspired by her travels. She uses acrylics on linen or canvas to depict more static routes, and pastels for dynamic ones, emphasizing the importance of spatial control, composition, and color in her works. Her art encourages us to observe, to slow down, and to find harmony between static and dynamic elements. The selection of colors and their arrangement are key to her artistic expression, where every stroke communicates beyond verbal language.
