About the artist

Marta Besada
Her visual language, marked by the use of vibrant colors, textiles, and organic forms, engages in a dialogue with movements such as relational art and the aesthetics of repair. Influenced by references and techniques such as Japanese kintsugi, Besada proposes an aesthetic of fragility and healing, in which each piece tells a story and acts as an emotional device. At a very early age, she discovered García Márquez's magical realism and a place called Macondo, which would become major influences on her work. She champions beauty, memory, introspection, and the domestic as fertile grounds for artistic creation. Rather than mere contemplation, her works invite us to inhabit them emotionally, crossing the threshold between art and life.
