About the artist

Gonhdo

Gonhdo

Gonzalo Hernández Sánchez de Ocaña, a graduate in Technical Architecture, his academic training has been fundamental in shaping the distinctive visual signature of his work, marked by a profound understanding of space, form, and color. His educational journey includes periods of study and living in New York and Mexico City, experiences that have left a significant mark on his artistic language. During his time in New York, he became deeply interested in Pop Art, drawing influences from iconic artists such as Keith Haring and Piet Mondrian's neoplasticism. In Mexico, the monumentality and impact of Diego Rivera contributed to consolidating his pictorial vision and driving his transition toward independent creation. GONHDO's work is characterized by expressive, vibrant, and contemporary compositions, where architecture, history, and chromatic nuances intertwine to produce pieces with a great mastery of space and a unique sensibility.
