About the artist

Ne Cano

Ne Cano

He is an architect, a background that is very present in his work, which has been exhibited in different countries around the world. In his compositions, repeated elements appear that offer different readings of the same theme, where geometry, surface, material, and color interact. The play of light and shadow gives his works a sculptural character, and the careful geometry of his designs seeks balance, simplicity, and harmony: squares as a support, golden-ratio rectangles in the background, and repeated elements that in many cases follow architectural facade compositional schemes. His monochromatic paintings tending towards white relate to Italian Spatialism and the Constructivist Abstraction of artists such as Gerardo Rueda.
