About the artist

Marta de la Fuente
Marta de la Fuente is a visual artist specializing in portraiture and contemporary figuration. She grew up in a town in Castile surrounded by bulls, Impressionist paintings, and games of chinchón. It was her mother who introduced her to painting through Sorolla and Egon Schiele. Her father, a former Fine Arts student, taught her the basics of anatomy and instilled in her a self-taught approach that led her to leave a successful career as a designer to devote herself entirely to painting. Her work explores identity, vulnerability, and generational tensions through oil painting, ceramics, and altered objects. She has held solo exhibitions, such as Neoretratos & costumbrismos, and collaborated with brands such as Netflix, Lexus, and Aquarius, standing out for her strong visual identity and conceptual consistency.
