About the artist

Humberto Ybarra
Humberto Ybarra captures landscapes with his camera. Then he subjects them to a meticulous study, and modifies them, carrying out his own work, creating a liminal image, that is, between the real and the imaginary. These contemporary and reinterpreted photographs invite us on a dreamlike journey through the countryside, a different and imaginary countryside in our dimension. It invites us on a journey to another dimension that escapes our sight, to the creation of liminal space, empty or abandoned, dreamlike places that seem unsettling, desolate and often surreal, which with that harmony of broken colors leads us to feel peace or nostalgia.
